The varicose vein is a common condition among adults. In fact, approximately 23% of US adults have varicose veins. This vein condition affects 22 million women and 11 million men between the ages of 40 to 80 years old.

Swimming        

Another low-impact exercise that you can include in your regular routine is swimming. It is an effective way to prevent the worsening of your varicose vein. So if you already have varicose veins, then you can try swimming as a way to manage and minimize its appearance on your legs.

The main idea behind this exercise is that the pressure in the water would help compress the veins in your legs. This would, in turn, improve circulation and relieve pressure on your veins, stimulating blood flow and making you less prone to develop diseases such as varicose veins.

For others who do not know how to swim, then you can simply do other exercises in the water as well. For example, you can simply tread the water or move your leg in a circular motion. If you are feeling a little bit lazy, then you can use a kickboard as a floatation device or sit on the side of the pool to just pedal your legs.

    Brisk Walking

If that is not possible, then you can simply walk home from work. So rather than take the bus, you can instead be green and exercise regularly.

    Lunges

    If you are an avid gym-goer and want to reduce varicose vein symptoms, then you can simply add this type of exercise to your regular routine. That said, you are probably already too familiar with lunges; regardless, lunges are a type of exercise that targets your lower muscle without overstraining your upper body.

    What is great about this exercise is that it is up to you to decide where you want to do it. You can do it at home or at the gym or you can buy a yoga mat and do all these lunges at the park.
